This artwork traces the spiritual ascent from the first fruits of the earth to the receiving of divine instruction at Mount Sinai. Layers of luminous color, textured surfaces, and sweeping lines create a sense of movement across time, linking the agricultural beginning of the Omer with the revelation of Shavuot.
Golden stalks of barley float across the composition like markers along a journey. Barley, the first grain offering associated with the beginning of the Omer, represents more than harvest. Here it becomes a symbol of potential. What begins as something planted in the earth gradually becomes part of a greater process of growth, preparation, and readiness.
At the center rises Mount Sinai, emerging from a richly textured landscape. The mountain is not presented as a distant historical location but as the destination of an unfolding spiritual passage. Its rugged form suggests that revelation is not reached instantly. The ascent toward understanding requires time, attention, and the willingness to move beyond where one began.
